Be the change to bring the change 

The UN Environment Programme (UNEP, or UN Environment) annually organizes events for World Environment Day, which encourages worldwide awareness and action for the protection of the environment. It is celebrated on 5th of  June every year,  in over 100 countries.  

This year’s UN theme for ‘world environment day’ is ‘only one earth’. From a Ecological and public health perspective, the team had organized awareness lectures for ‘world no tobacco day’ with the same theme, keeping the environmental hazards of tobacco in mind.

For the world environment day, this year tree saplings were planted by volunteers from NSS and faculties in the Saveetha Medical college, Thandalam campus. Our Beloved Registrar Dr.Sheeja Varghese and Principal of Physical Education college presided the event and made it a successful one with their inspiring speech. As a group of socially responsible citizens adorning the Nobel profession, we truly believe any change should start within us. As a continuing effort to make the world more greener, the team took oath to plant more trees at all opportunities.
