A team of 2 post graduates and one faculty, set out on a Friday evening to deliver an awareness lecture addressing more than 200 staff nurses in Aravind Eye Hospital, Poonamallee. The lecture covered comprehensively, all aspects of oral health and dental care available currently. It was a 2 hour interactive lecture, addressing common issues and individual specific doubts regarding self oral hygiene and health maintenance. The program was well received by the participants, with futuristic planning of periodic oral health screening and treatment for the nurses, doctors and other employees of the Institution.
