Learning disability week is observed on 20th-26th June every year. Learning disability is identified in a child of six to ten years of age. The theme of learning disability week for this year (2022) is "Art and creativity". Department of Public health dentistry, Saveetha dental college, Organised an Art competition for the children of fourth grade in Government union school, Prayampathu. Students were assessed by the class teacher based on their art and prizes were distributed for top three arts. Later an interview session with the Classteacher was done by the postgraduate on what is the Assesment done if the child is having a learning disability and how it is handled by the teachers efficiently.

Government union school, prayampathu in Tiruvallur was the target group for this programme. Dr.Sarika, a third year pg from the dept efficiently conducted the programme, the event was wrapped up with awareness lecture on oral health maintenance and its importance in maintaining overall health.
